Sports and Teams

In addition to Parru HT, Parru Ry also has many other sports teams and clubs, which you can learn more about below. All teams and sports are looking for more enthusiastic athletes, so feel free to join. The best way to get in touch with the teams is to contact the Team Coordinator. If your sport is not on the list, contact the Parru Ry board and we will get the wheels turning for a new team!

Lappeenranta Wildmen

American Football

The Wildmen is a men's college football team founded in 2013 that plays in the Finnish university league. The team is a two-time Finnish champion and will be chasing another championship next season!

FC Parru

Futsal

FC Parru has futsal teams for both men and women.

The men's team will play in the Eastern Finland 3rd division and the women's team will continue the Women's Futsal Second Division games that began in the 2023-2024 season.

Basketball

Parru Basketball is a basketball team founded in late 2024 and is currently looking for new players to join the team. Training will start in the fall, so feel free to contact the team manager if you are interested in basketball!

Floorball

Parru SB men play at two levels; in the Southeast Finland 4th division (for experienced players) and in a team open to all levels, where the purpose is only to train.

The women's team practices at the school and also organizes practice matches for those interested.

Parru Ice Skaters is a skating team founded in 2023, aimed at both individual and formation skaters, regardless of level! The team's current purpose is to train together in a relaxed atmosphere, learn new skills, and perform at local events.

Parru Golf is a golf club founded in 2020 as LUT Golf, which was transferred to Parru in 2024.

The team is intended for golfers of all levels and you can participate in golf competitions, among other things, with the team .

The Parru dance team has been revived with rehearsals that began in 2026. The dance group trains in a relaxed atmosphere and dancers of all levels and those interested in the sport are welcome!
